The Coolest Fans™ - Officially Licensed Collegiate Gameday Handheld Folding Fan.
Founded by Logan O'Neil. She moved to Tuscaloosa in August of 2011 to begin college at The University of Alabama. As a Witt University Fellow and Division I Athlete on the Alabama Women's Rowing Team, she kept a busy schedule. That schedule included Saturday's in Bryant-Denny Stadium cheering on the Crimson Tide. In the Southern heat she'd sweat up a storm!
Her academic success and passion for sports led her to intern with Nike in Beaverton, Oregon as a Digital Retail Brand Intern. Upon returning to Alabama for her senior year she expressed interest to the Director of Athletics at the time, Coach Bill Battle, to work in Alabama Athletics for a year post-graduate before pursuing her MBA. Coach Bill Battle, impressed with her resume, facilitated an introduction that led to Logan working as a Strategic Operations Assistant in Alabama Athletics Marketing, Promotions & Trademark Licensing from 2015-2016.
In summer of 2017, Logan earned a spot as an inaugural intern with Dai-Ichi Holdings in Tokyo, Japan as part of a partnership between The University of Alabama, Protective Life in Birmingham, AL, and its holding company, Dai-Ichi. Having earned a National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarship at age 16 which took her to Anshan, China, this was her second time in Asia, but it would be the time that planted the seed for The Coolest Fans.
While in Japan, Logan bought a handheld folding fan that she still owns and uses today, and thought, this would be great as a licensed gameday product to keep people cool. Nine years after returning to campus with that fan to begin her final year of MBA studies, she launches The Coolest Fans in 2026 to The University of Alabama market as an official Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) licensee. This is a God story of timing and alignment. She is excited to get The Coolest Fans into the hands of other fan bases. Stay tuned and stay cool!
